I've been rather absent of late. Truth is, my life has been a whirlwind of assignments, gym, going out and just living, among other things!
A few weekends ago, some of us girlies went to Swansea for a night out for Jem's birthday. I've never been before, but it was a cracking night and I'm definitely up for going back soon! All the main clubs are on one strip so there's minimal walking involved, which is definitely a plus for heel wearers! We all ate way too much food and drank way too much alcohol but it was such a lovely night with some of my favourites!
Last weekend my mumma, chubs, Becci and Oli (Matthew's mum and sister) came down for the weekend to celebrate mothers day and see their two favourite children! It was a really nice weekend of shopping, present giving and we saw OZ: The great and powerful at the cinema which was nice too. I can't honestly remember the last time I went to the cinema with my parents. I was probably about 9. On Sunday we went to Cardiff castle and had a nosey around - it was freeeeeezing! But the rain stayed at bay which we were thankful for! My mummy loved her onesie we got her for mothers day, and I liked it so much I got myself a leopard print one!
This weekend, it was Matthew's birthday! The big 21. I took the opportunity to spoil him lots... Cooked a three course meal! The starter was bacon, garlic and cheese potato skins, the main was an italian chicken tray bake and for pudding the most amazing coffee cake, as it's his favourite. I'm sure he would agree that all 3 courses were so yummy! I had a lot of fun doing some "proper" cooking for once and am definitely going to do more in future! We went out on the town for his birthday and it was one of the nicest nights out I have had in such a long time, we were all very merry and just really enjoyed everyone's company!
Cutting this one short for now, more to follow soon I hope!
