Hey!
I've just done the unimaginable. For me, anyway.
I have BOOKED a HOLIDAY... without researching the area and hotels for weeks on end, without knowing how I'm gonna actually pay for it all... I just did it!!
To be fair, it was such a good deal. A week in Faliraki, Rhodes, Greece at the end of August/beginning of September, self catering for £250 each including transfers to airport and back in UK and Greece! I'm so excited I can barely contain it.
I have a little niggle in my head that is sad because I won't be seeing Matthew much this summer as I now have to work my bum off to pay for it (boo) but I don't even care because I was desperate for another holiday!
In other news, I have lost 6 pounds so far. Only another 17 to go....
Just thought I'd share that with you all. Back to report writing now...

a bit of this and that..
hello!
Not a lot has happened in my world lately. I got my first first in a practical report, well in pretty much anything really. And it was a decent one too, 75%! I was so pleased, as this one is the first that actually counts.
I have lost another pound, yay! Not quite the 3 I achieved last week, but naturally it is going to take a long time. And lots of hard work. LOTS of it. Slowly but surely, though, we're getting there.
I did a spot of shopping on Friday... Finally got my hands on my superdry leather jacket. It's gorgeous, quite understated but lovely. I had to go for a medium in the end because it was pretty clear they just weren't getting any larges back in stock, like ever, so lets hope I don't get any fatter! It's so lush though. I also picked up some free £8 handcream from l'occitane, and finally spent my river island voucher on some lush leggings. Very successful I think!
Hmm, literally nothing else to report! I slept pretty much all weekend, fail me. My life has pretty much consisted of sleeping, eating and going to the gym. That, and my pitiful amount of lectures. I guess it means I am determined not to miss any! I'm currently procrastinating my essay which I HAVE to get finished (or at least the majority done) by tonight, as I am going out Wednesday, dressed as a FADette-lady... It's gonna be interesting; I will tell you all about it!
Anyway, procrastination over. I must get on.

happy valentines! :)
hello :D
I know valentines day is quite a controversial holiday, but you know me - anything cheesy and I jump on it. I know that everyday you are meant to share how much you love the people in your life, but it is nice to have a day where you can pull out all the stops, go way over the top and just be cheesy and affectionate. Sure, it may get annoying with everyone being all gushy on facebook, but quite frankly I find the people who post anti-valentines day status's even more annoying, as they all think they are so original!
So anyway, at midnight I was treated to a new pandora charm. I only got the bracelet for my birthday, so I haven't got that many yet, but a sweet little heart was the perfect new addition :) I treated Matthew to a "every girl needs a superhero" captain America mug, some tangfastics, a big toblerone and a bottle of Dissorano, to even it up a bit. As a rule, we don't usually gift expensive things for Valentines as it comes inbetween my birthday/Christmas, ro's birthday and our anniversary in April, so thats plenty to be getting on with present-wise.
Matthew had to work today, so I went to pick up my prize from CPS homes (our letting agency). All I did was write on their facebook post "love is in the air" and I won a little valentines present! Not bad for a second of my time, made my day anyway!
Matthew came over this evening and spoiled me with a 3 course meal - Piri piri chicken in jack daniels sauce, gammon steak with bbq, cheese, chorizo, new potatoes and baby corn (yum) and nutella crepes! I am absolutely stuffed and it's safe to say the diet has taken a day off, but tomorrow I will return to the gym, so not to worry. It's valentines, after all.

We are off to watch the proposal now with meg and cam - I got told that under no circumstances were we allowed to watch valentines day - what?!
Hope you have all been spoiled by your loved ones, or had a fun day as a singleton!

a little update
hello!
You may have noticed I've been a little absent really. I don't have any excuses to be honest, I have just been very busy. I have been having a clo evening this evening, though, so thought I would give my blog a little attention.
Since I last posted, I got my exam results! I was really chuffed actually. I got 2 2:1s and a 2:2.. To some this may not seem like the best set of results, but I was aiming for 2:1s and considering they were my first ever uni exams I'm really pleased. Not forgetting that Cardiff university is bloody hard! So there was lots of celebrating and relief that there are no resits!
So, along came semester 2. I was doing really well at keeping up with the work at first, then the first practical hit me! I found it a struggle because it has been a while since we have written any, so it didn't feel as natural to write. Nevertheless, it is submitted and hopefully 25% of my module will be a 2:1. Please.
The diet/exercise has been going for officially a week now. Me and Aimee had our first weigh in on Saturday, and I was shocked to have lost 3 pounds. For the first week, I'm sure most would agree this is pretty impressive, although it's going to be hard to keep it up. I'm actually starting to enjoy going to the gym, which surprised me a lot, but there is a feeling of satisfaction as you watch the time and calories rack up.
There's no night out round up because I've barely been on any nights out! But I will post a couple photos from Carnage and the lash - always a good night.

getting fit in february!
hello lovelies!
Right. Before you say one word (because I know you're about to) I KNOW I have done this so many times before. And I KNOW I fail miserably every time. But this time, I have a really good feeling about it. I spent £40 on gym gear today. That is, a decent pair of running shoes and proper leggings and a top. Obviously I have other leggings and things I can wear, but I wanted some nice ones! Ha.
The main reason this is going to work is because I have three gorgeous girls who are doing it with me. We are going to motivate eachother to go 4x a week to the gym, and help eachother eat and enjoy healthier meals. There WILL be cheat days every now and then and it WILL be hard but we are going to give it the best we've got. I would love love love to lose a stone, I feel like I would be so much more comfortable and confident within myself, and happier and healthier too. The fact I will have spent lots and lots of money will hopefully motivate me all the more. Summer beach bods, here we come!
(Update: we signed up for the gym yesterday, eeeeek! And got our measurements - height and weight and BMI. Looks like my new goal is a stone and a half, aha! Our induction is on Wednesday, wish us luck...!)
